I don't know if you know this or not, but kodak had a recall on the
DC5000
camera about 2 years ago. I did have that same problem with my camera
prior
to sending it in for the recall. When I received teh repaired unit the
door
was fixed as well. Inquire about the recall on your unit if you haven't
already.
