Kodak picture CD policy stinks

by "Password" <scainnca@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Feb 18, 2005 at 11:29 AM

Approx in May 2004 Kodak made a policy change reguarding their picture
CD's.
That is, if you receive your picture CD from a Kodak processing facility
like Qualex, and the pics are up side down, it meets their quality
standards.

This happened to me in the past month. I have about 50 picture CD's and
this is the first one that had the prints up side down. I returned it
with
the negatives to Qualex through Costco to have it fixed. I received a
form
letter and I cannot believe what it says:

....Our Quality Control Department had evaluated your request for image
rotation and has determined that the order we returned to you meets the
standards for which it was intended.
Images may sometimes appear sideways or even up side down on your picture
CD. For viewing purposes it is a relatively easy process to correct the
orientation.

They go on to list instructions on how to rotate the CD images for
different
situations like on your computer or in the case of a DVD player to check
the
DVD player's manual to see if it has a rotation feature. (what BS)

I have called and complained but all I got was that this is their new
policy. If they get enough complaints they might change it. I spoke to
Matt at 800 828-4587.

Anyone else come across this problem? Call Matt.
