I own a DX4530, with a similar issue (i.e., white LCD). It was an
eBay purchase; the seller explicitly stated the defect in question.
In a later repair attempt, I bought a used LCD panel ($39.95 +
****pping), from an online entity, calling himself "DarnToothySam."
Sadly, the problem remained, even after the "new" component was
installed. I was able to send it back, for a full refund (minus
return ****pping costs, of course).
DarnToothySam not only sells/auctions secondhand digital cameras
(and their individual parts), he also fixes them, and his prices
seem quite reasonable. Here are his Web sites:
