Nice thought Steve, but new DSLR's are like computers, they are almost
obsolete by the time you get them home. Assuming you are not planning on
dying any time soon your son will most likely be inheriting a camera
that's
something like an IBM XT computer with DOS software. If you want
something
for your son to inherit then buy some Canon stock and hope for the best.
If
you want a camera then buy a camera.
