How about passing the KNOWLEDE to your son instead of older camera. Yes,
I have a small heart-attacked around 13 years ago, diabetes 15+ years,
low-back and nerve problem over 20 years, 24/7 headache for nearly 3 years
which is part of memory loss problem I now have (I actually leanred not to
think about everything around me). Last Sep 2007 I was visting 3-4
doctors
for different problems nearly 20 times, in hospital for few days, had foot
surgeried, and just got out of hospital about a week ago. Many years ago,
I
was trying to make it One_Year_At_A_Time cuz I didn't think I can make it
to
the next year.
I know you don't like what you don't want to hear, but it's hard for
other
to help you by telling you what you want to hear. So
- Like someone (and I said) the BODY will get older sooner than you wish.
YES, it's still working but older technology, just like P&S is getting
better and better every year.
- Not many people mention DSLR is great *but* it requires lot more than
P&S
to get the best out of DSLR. You may not like what I say about
"..spending
time practicing Post Processing.." but keep in mind that it's what you
will
have to deal with sooner or later.
Also, I do not try to pass the negative but encouraging people to take
adtanage of what money can buy to enjoy the art, and whatever you learn
may
stay with you to the rest of your life (that's what I believe and that's
what gets me to keep on learning).
