I'm certainly not a professional photographer. When my mother died about
a year and a half ago, we discovered a large quantity of photos, slides,
negatives of various vintages - my sister is a genaeology freak and
insisted on having copies of everything. I'm quite pleased with the Epson
4490. Main reason I generally go Epson is good Linux sup****t at avasys.jp/
english. Got the 4490 because of it's ability to handle medium format
slides/negatives.
