No. It goes on the included lens hood adapter.

No. Lens cap does fit on the filter if the filter is stack threaded.
And lens cap isn't terribly im****tant with the lens retracted way back
into the lens hood adapter.

I use a much cheaper and better aftermarket leather case that fits
everything.

Filters mount to the lens hood adapter.
The lens hood can be mounted at the same time.
