Hi Jasper
Before I go any further I will admit I am no expert on HDR but I am
slowly learning.
I will agree with Mr T that this doesn't look like HDR.
I am not sure about the converting one shot but I use a 400d and it is
easy to do HDR.
I will tell you how I do it.
Get your exposure right, use raw so you get some good single shots to
play with later.
Then change Quality to Large
then go to Menu 2 second tab along and go to first option AEB
Click set, I, 99% of the time, go to 1 click set them hit the shutter
button to go back to ready mode.
Do you three shots, I go back through them to make sure they look
ok and no birds or boats have entered the frame. If I have time I
then change the exposure up or down one or two for playing purposes later.
I use Photomatix to edit and 99% of the time you will only have to
change it from default slightly.
As mentioned before I started with the 'unreal' shots with weird colours
and huge halo's then I got into it more and wanted it to look more
believable.
This is one I took tonight using the settings mentioned above

This was an interesting 'unreal' one I saw today. I don't mind it.
