I cannot imagine it taking an hour to edit the person out, but I also
cannot imagine doing so.  The resulting disembodied jumper/sweater
would look strange.

I used a recent picture of my grandson and, using the Quick Mask, made
everything except his ****rt and pants part of a selection.  Then I
applied a strong Gaussian blur to the selection.

Total time:  6 minutes.  

It looks a little strange, but the boy wasn't posed for a fa****on
picture.  

I used Quick Mask, but there are a number of ways to create a
selection.
