Tamron probably makes some lenses for Nikon. I have seen this in mainstream

publications, not just the internet.
Nikon is very mysterious about many things including who really owns
Nikon, 
where much or their electronics are sourced from and where their 
manufacturing is outsourced.
Pentax is up front about Tamron making lenses for them.
