For Cornwall's south coast you can't go wrong with Polperro (near Looe).
Fowey is also very photogenic as is Mevagissey (if you like small working
harbours). Further up the coast into South Devon, Shaldon and Teignmough
(near Torquay) are also interesting.
Face it, anywhere in Devon or Cornwall you are usually only minutes away
from some of the finest scenery the British Isles has to offer. I feel
jealous just knowing you will be there in May which is a great time of the
year before hoards of holidaymakers descend on the area :-)
