OK, all else being equal, bigger is better. Back when I was a working
professional, 8X10 was the standard film size for quality. 4X5 was the
small size and we even did 20x24. In digital larger is also better, but
not
for exactly the same reasons. I would guess (I have not researched or
checked it) that that difference would be even more im****tant for wide
angle. That said, I suggest you consider what appears to be good for you
and then actually try the combination. Take a photo in conditions close
to
what you plan and see the results for yourself before committing to this
or
that.
The reference Ray offered should allow you to do the comparison you
were
asking about. I seem to recall an on-line calculator for you, but my
memory
can't be trusted and I totally forget were I saw it.
