I can't judge the sharpness of the photos form the ones you
posted, with a much-reduced pixel count. I can make a
general observation. Most digital images, from a camera or
a scanner, benefit from sharpening. Sharpening doesn't
improve resolution, but it does accentuate edges. I don't
know what software came with your camera, but almost any
program for manipulating digital images will sharpen them.
And how they are printed counts as well.
