am planning a two-week trip to Italy and debating whether to upgrade my
Nikon D70 to a D300. I have the Nikon 18-200mm VR lens and am planning to
use this lens exclusively on the trip, so it is just a question of the
camera. (Note: I also have a 10-20 mm wide angle that I may take; a
friend
said he used his wide angle quite often).
Should I upgrade before the trip? The vacation is planned for early May,
which gives me about five weeks to learn to use the D300.
Your thoughts are appreciated.
Thanks,

If you do upgrade - do it soon. I recently upgraded from the D70s to the
D300. You will definately need the time to get used to the new camera.
Lot
of options you didn't have to worry (or think) about on the D70. It's a
great camera - but I wouldn't want to try to become familiar with it while
on a trip.
