    If you do know someone who fits the mold grandmother mold, then I 
suggest finding them the right digital camera and it will not be a
Digi-film 
camera as they appear to be nothing buy a junk cheap film camera with a
new 
name.

    There are some fine, inexpensive digital cameras that work well for 
older people.  I suggest looking at mid to cheap digitals, but not the
small 
ones.  Older hands often have a difficult or at least uncomfortable time 
handing small cameras and controls.  You also want to look carefully at
the 
viewfinder.  Eye sight is often not what it once was.  Large optical
finders 
are usually best, but some people will find one of the larger LCD screens 
good (have them try that out in the sun before buying).
