Yes.

Yes but get some one else to then take some photos and ask WHY and what
law prohibits the taking of photos. In this situation officials often
make up "The Law". Challenge that. I was once arrested for an
"offence" that did not exist. I knew this and then did an "any person
arrest" (Citizens arrest) on the plain clothes officer who arrested
me.... :-) VERY embarrassing for the two uniformed officers who turned
up to give assistance. Their man had got it wrong and I was right.

So make sure you know the law before you start and let them try and
arrest someone. (Don't resist arrest) Now if they clearly show they
don't know the law it calls into question their judgement and legality
of permitting the quarry :-) The councillors may have to resign BEFORE
the decision can be approved. Then there will be council elections

ABSOLUTELY NOT. DEMAND to know what the charge is. INSIST on being
arrested. The pictures are then evidence and can not be deleted. The
only problem is you can't use them before the trial if they become
evidence. If, they decide they cant press charges they you get to keep
the pictures.

The UK Police are getting away with far too much. However it is highly
unlikely the police will prosecute over the pictures. It is far to
awkward.

>Then .... go home and undelete them. NBD.

This is party why I suggest having several memory cards and keep
swapping them out to a runner.... Even if you get arrested or they
forcibly delete the photos there will only be the last couple of photos
and you can un delete them and have photos of the police doing the
deleting taken by some one else.

BTW are there any UK police persons (or any one how has a friend who is
a police person) on this NG who could comment on the situation.
