If it says "cannot open _jpg", then perhaps somehow the files got renamed
from "filename.jpg" to "filename._jpg". Bring up Windows Explorer and see
if
in fact the files are "filename.jpg" or filename._jpg". If the later, try
renaming them ("file", "rename").
Another alternative is to do a system restore to an earlier date when you
were able to see the files.
