When I took the picture, I was just shooting for an image that would
convey
Dima's general attitude and spirit while trying to crop out her shaved
tummy
and her stitches. I wasn't actually trying for a frameable shot.
However,
given the tight time-line before she departs, I thought it might work as a
tribute shot as well.
Paul's feedback indicated to me that I should try to do a better job for
that one. But, I'll try your cropping and post it. It could work fairly
well as a general interest pic when I put together a page for Dima on my
website. From what I can determine, her expression makes up for a lot of
the more technical deficiencies of the shot, as you have indicated.

I get advice from all corners, and I try to incor****ate as much of it as
possible. Regardless of whether people are pros or not, there seems to be
a
thin thread of general agreement that underlies most tastes (I know I'll
get
some contrary opinions to that statement), and everyone who comments adds
a
bit more description on which I can base my decisions.
Thank you for taking the time to tell me what you think. I really
appreciate it.
Regarding The One, perhaps he / she might post a more substantial critique
than simple ****E. This could be an op****tunity for his / her opinion to
be
taken seriously...
Take Care,
Dudley
