Update on my Photojournalism query

The event went brilliantly today.
Absolutely no objections to my taking photos or doing reports.
In fact, it was actively encouraged by everyone there present.
A few journos and photographers from the local and semi-national papers 
turned up too...I felt quite inadequate stood beside their big Nikon
D200's 
with my little Fuji S6500 wannabe dslr, LOL...
