I was referring to the UK as indeed this whole thread was.
Before the war 2 million people marched in protest about the proposed
war (I think it was 1 in 5 registered voters) on one day in London.
In Spain, Germany, France, Austria the figures were 80-90% against. In
Spain it brought down the government.

Sadly very true. The USA has managed to go from victim to aggressor and
loosing all it's friends along the way. The tactics of the Bush
administration in pushing for the war in Iraq has probably ruined any
good relationship it had with any other country. Including the UK. It
has been said in the UK government that the UK-US "special relationship"
is now finished and over.

Yes... However I think in the coming 12 months most Americans are about
to get woken up with a shock. Partly the Economy and partly Iraq and
party NATO.
