I'm not making a mountain out of a molehill - that's your role. I'm just 
pointing out that the OP made unjustified offensive comments and asking if

anyone has ever let him know that he does this.

20 odd years ago when I smoked cigarettes, I once dropped the cellophane 
wrapper on the pavement. A couple of friends pointed out that this was 
antisocial and I took note and made sure that all future rubbish went in
the 
bin. Were they 'PC', I don't think so, but maybe they are 'interfering 
busybodies' in your view/
