I shot my first D70 photos today using the kit lens (18-70mm) and found
the
quality of shot to be excellent. Having used Canon models for years, I now
wish I'd gone over to Nikon ages ago. I think the Canon photos are cleaner
(less noise), but the Nikon shots looked sharper to my eyes and the kit
lens
introduced a rather nice bokeh and DOF to my portrait shots. I have to say
I
am very pleased with my new camera so far.
