The H3, 39 Mpix with 80mm lens is available for less US$ than the Phase
One system at the same Mpix point. That's the problem with a $1.55 or
so per Euro. (H3 @[EMAIL PROTECTED]
B&H is US$34K or about 22 KEuro.)
The H3 is definitely the better deal.
8000 for the 1Da III? Commercial photographers spend a lot more money
on other things besides camera bodies in any case. For a photographer
with a stable of fine Canon lenses, what else should he consider?
The Phase One approach allows a variety of MF lenses including the
Hasselblad V series of which the market is loaded with used examples.
That gives the Phase One system some wind.
If I'm not mistaken, the ****trayed 80mm lens does not have its own leaf
shutter. (The Phase One site lacks a lot of detail vis-a-vis shutter
(leaf) and sync speeds).
It would be nice if Hasselblad increase the CFV back to about 30 Mpix.
That would really extend the life of my 500 C/M and lenses.
Cheers,
Alan
