This sounds more like poor management more so than a "subordinate" issue.
Had management taken the time to correct a known hardware issue and make
it
idiot proof none of this would even be an issue.

Run a drywall screw through the back or make a plastic stop and glue it
in.
Problem solved.

Here's even another solution. You might be using the wrong reader and all
of this could be avoided. Or even better, use an external USB type and
have
it securely mounted in a tamper proof enclosure on the side of the kiosk.
It seems there are a 1001 solutions to this problem other than *****ing
about it and casting blame.
