I agree with the WB usage. The D300 is nice, but it isn't groundbreaking
enough over the D200 for me to get one. The D3 was an amazing improvement
that turned out to be the must have camera. I'll probably update the old
D200 when the next generation D400 hit the streets.

Depending on your shooting needs, probably not. Again, the D300 is great
and offers better high ISO performance, but it is not a major leap to take
the monetary hit on selling the D200. Smart money right now is
buying/using
a cheaply bought second hand D200 and in 18-months selling it and getting
a
used D300 for a decent price.
