I think it depends on the personality of the photographer a lot.  Let
me give the analogy of driving a car.

I use one to get from point A to point B.  I get one with enough
features to get me there 
reliably
and
comfortably

That's it.  I don't go around telling people how great my Mercury
Sable is.  But some people do?  It's a tool.  What I look at is the
product that the artist and tool produced.  I don't go into his/her
studio and enquire about what name brand brushes and paints he/she
uses.  Some people do?  Maybe other artists who are just starting
out..

But if you've been around longer than dirt like I have, name brand
doesn't go very far.  People my age (past dead but not yet
disintegrated) look at the photo, and like it or don't.

IMO, I like Rita's work a lot.  And the same goes for many other
posters here.  Quite talented.  So that should be enough, unless
they're getting Royalties from the manufacturer ;-)
