Yippee! and Wheeeee!  A tin mushroom!  I could do that with my 2.1 MP HP 
compact.

You are in danger of belittling what quality the Nikon actually has. 
not up to Canon's quality, of course, but then Nikon do a good job of 
emulation ...<g>
