and therin lies the flaw in your logic, if it was beyond perfection they 
would not have needed to issue a firmware update, ergo: the Camera was 
flawed from the start, and even moreso, now that the bugs in the new
update 
have been exposed :-)

Its called ru****ng software out before it was ready, something just about 
every big cor****ation is guilty of :-)

Maybe Canon had more respect for their user base and actualy wanted to
test 
an update before it was sent out to the general m*****, Nikon might do
well 
to emulate that sort of Cor****ate responsibility :-)
