Yes, Google up Rob Galbraith or whatever his name is.  There's also some
French news agency that had a run-in with Canon about it.  The sad part
was
that it was a very very small sample of Mk IIIs that actually had the
problem, mine didn't.  There was no reason for Canon to be so defensive
when
they jumped the gun and issues rushed and faulty software to their paying
beta testers.
