Mark hit the nail on the head with the noise reduction bit.
Thats much better I put a heap of smart sharpen through and I can now
see the eyes, feathers, feet look good, detail in the branch etc. It did
bring up the noise in the background tho which can be reduced
There are methods to reduce the noise using layers. placing a blur on
the top one and making a hole through it to see the sharpened bird.
With the colours, the beak looked very blue/green cast whereas the
larger image is more neutral - keep playing with the curves.
