Achewly, I meant that they 'related to you', as in they saw you as a
friend rather than a photographer..

Way back when I used to do this stuff, it didn't take me long to
realise that if you can get everybody onside, the whole experience
becomes much easier and better for all.  So I developed/stole a number
of little tricks to ensure I wasn't the 'enemy'... eg partially
setting up some shots and then inviting all the other camera-holders
to have a quick go before I did the final arrangement and got what *I*
wanted...  (O:  That led to helpful and cooperative congregations,
which made life so much easier!
