Yes.

Some people don't like/have trouble seeing with a
red safelight.  There is a theory that contrast is
harder to judge under a red safelight - I don't think
this is the case.  Colored objects do appear
'contrastier' under narrow band illumination as they
turn black if they don't reflect 'in-band' - this
effect happens at all colors.  OC safelights, being
broader band, allow some color vision.

Red safelights can be quite a bit brighter than
OC.
