Hi folks.
Fuji discontinued their APS slide film some while ago BUT they ARE still
processing it.
I shot a couple of rolls last January. I posted them, in their mailers, to
the Duisberg labs and they came back processed and mounted (and with the
usual APS data printout on each slide mount). Turnround time was a couple
of
weeks which was longer than when the film was still in production.
I have been able to buy more Fuji APS slide film over the past year or so.
One retailer I visit seems to be finding small quantities of it and puts
it
in their "out-of-date bargain price" film bin. The last rolls cost me 50
UK
pence each (around 90 US cents) and that, remember, INCLUDES processing.
Now - as the processing lab is still running (presumably on a small
scale),
anyone have any good ideas about persuading Fuji to produce batches of APS
slide film (albeit on a small scale).
[Personally, when Fuji ceased production I had to buy a 35mm body so I
could
still shoot on slide film.
As my APS SLR is a Minolta Vectis which doesn't share lenses with the
Minolta 35mm bodies, this meant I moved into Canon EOS 35mm and APS SLR
bodies so I'm now running two systems.]
Regards, Ian.
