Well, if we are going to post 35mm stuff to a large-format group,
I read someplace a decade or so ago, that the Olympus XA (that I have)
was more appreciated once it was discontinued than when it was in
production.
I think I understand why it was designed the way it was. I like it
but it has two serious shortcomings. The yellow on white rangefinder
is impossible to use in dim or bright light, though it works in
between.
And I hate the 35mm focal length: too short to be "normal" and too
long to be "wide angle." But it does fit in a ****rt pocket which is
good on those mountain climbs where my 4x5 is out of the question.
