FA: The ultimate 4X5 lens: The 150mm f/4 Schneider APO-Componon

by Marco Milazzo <marcomilazzo@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Nov 3, 2006 at 03:58 AM

This lens costs $1200 NEW at B&H, but you can get it here for
considerably less.

The Schneider 150mm lens is a six-element apochromatically corrected
lens of the Schneider HM Series. The quality of its image is
practically unlimited over the entire enlarging range. Schneider
manufactures its optics with a high degree of precision, ensuring
lasting quality.

The 150mm HM lens has a luminous aperture scale, illuminated setting
index, preset iris, and click stops which can be disengaged. The
preset iris allows the diaphragm to be opened after setting the
working apertures in order to correct the image sector or focusing.
Afterwards, the diaphragm can be reset easily.

This lens is in pristine condition. It comes with its original 55mm
mounting flange, as well as front and rear lens caps. It is in a
Beseler enlarger board. (See the Beseler 45V XL I am offereing in
another auction).
