Bait and Switch from DealCost.Com

by michaeldwilson2@[EMAIL PROTECTED] Dec 31, 2007 at 03:24 PM

I've never experienced a "bait and switch" until I tried to order with
DealCost. They advertised the Canon PowerShot SD700 IS for 319.00. I
ordered the camera, and 4 days later received a phone call telling me
that they were out of the item, but they could give me an SD750 for
the same price. While the salesman was trying to get me to buy an
extra warranty, I looked up the SD750, and found that it was an
inferior camera that could be purchased for 250.00 at several
reputable online companies, such as Buy.Com. When I brought this up to
the salemsan, he said they "don't know anything about the cameras they
sale." Also, that he was sure they didn't advertise the camera and
price, even though the ad is still up as I type. (http://
www.dealcost.com/viewitem.php?IndexID=17120&RefTag=dealcostfroogle) I
would advise to stay very clear of this place.
