That's true, but the number of comparable companies based in the UK
(of which the Channel Islands are not part) approximates to zero.  So
however guilty I feel about not paying VAT, I don't really think there
is a realistic alternative.

In addition to that, the savings to be made are far in excess of the
amount of VAT.  I still buy film and the particular films I buy are
less than half the price of the cheapest UK supplier at 7dayshop.  One
of them is 70% cheaper.  VAT alone doesn't explain that.
